Hi - I know probably the best place to post this is in general but I wanted to get the views of anyone doing foundation.
My work is paying for me to go to college and as we all know year one is almost done! I have worked for the same company for 2 years and I am still doing the same job as I was from the beginning. The job I am doing isn't taxing and to be honest am not learning much about finance (mostly data input, petty cash, banking of chqs etc) Don't get me wrong, I know I can't move up the scale that quick but was wondering if anyone who is working full time and their work pays for studying, if you have a training plan in place....i.e a goal to work towards.
No matter how many times I tell them I am bored and want to learn more - its a yes answer but nothing is actually being done.
Is it something that I have to push for - do I have to be more assertive and remember number one is me!? Its just that I do not want, at the end of my hard work after level 3, to know the theory side but not much practice. I have management skills behind me but still learning in a job is just as important as the theory side of it.
Can anyone advice or let me know what kind of training plan they have!?
You can post on here or email me at fluffy_babe2000@yahoo.co.uk
Just wanted to get some ideas of how to go about it
Thanks to anyone that helps

Hiya,
Glad I am not the only one who feels this way.
I have been looking into finding another job too but as I know work is paying for the next 2 yrs, I don't think I will leave but push for a training plan. I just think that finding a new job as this stage may be difficult. I think I'd rather stay another year and then I will be more marketable after Intermediate level.
I am the same with you - money is not a factor, experience is more important!
I am going to chat with them after June's exam and pose the question - how are you going to help me in Level Two - what progression am I going to make etc. Then see what they say and make my decision from that. After all, you have to play the game to be in it, so to speak!
Let me know how you get on
