As I didn't take AAT Foundation, I've got to take Unit 21 as part of Intermediate (I'm sudying distance learning). Can anyone who's already taken this unit let me know how long to allow for the simulation? All my college has said when I asked is "the time varies" - just a rough idea would be great - 2, 4 or 6 hours? Also any idea where I can find a practice simulation, in addition to the one that's on here? Also, do you need access to Sage to do the simulation (my 'supervisor' doesn't have Sage on her PC)?

    Hi,

I did my unit 21 simulation a few weeks ago. Its quite straight forward. It took me about 1 hour.

The sim was based on sage so i guess it is important that you have access to the sage programme. There is only a small section at the end of the sim where you have to use Word and excel.

Hope this helps and good luck (",)

Thanks for the info. I'm getting really conflicting advice on this - someone told me yesterday to allow two sessions each of 3 hours - assume thats because of different sims being used.
Has anyone completed this unit without taking the sim - just supplying work evidence and witness testimonies? I think I could do that quite easily and have asked my college (NEC), but can't get a straight yes or no from them.
