Technician Level through Distance Learning

I have just received my certificate for completing Intermediate level (Old standards) - I'm chuffed! :D I studied via distance learning and plan to do the same for Technician. Advice on advantages/disadvantages, tips etc on Technician stage would be more than welcome.

    I echo this one, anyone that can give advice would be much appreciated..would it be better to do it through my employer or home study ?
