Doing past papers aargh!

I have been going through some past papers especially for the FRA and I just feel so low now. Its not only that I can never get the trial balance to balance but that half the time I can't work out what they want me to do especially when they give you a layout. I think it is the June 05 paper where they want you to divide profits 3 ways part of the year and 2 ways for the rest now once I realised thats what they wanted (after looking at the answers) then I could actually have done it originally its just that they did not actually ask the question in the first place.

    We did the same past paper yesterday :( , all three of us went wrong on the same question as you, we knew how to do it, but just totally forgot to split it from the beginning, as i type this i am printing off al the past papers on the aat site, so the next 3 weeks will be study study and more study! I have decided that i am going to put off next year and see how it goes, i only did the course to get understanding of what i am doing at work and i have done that, so i may not even complete year 3, so as my tutor told us the other night, if we give up now we are losers! So be it! Good luck in the exams
