Re:Portfolio layout
Hiya Nat,
Don't know if this is what you mean, or whether it will help you out, but here goes...
I am a distance learner and like you, have got everthing ready just not in the right order!
My college support lecturer advised me that at the end of each unit, 1, 2, 3 etc, put your evidence for that unit behind the last page, before the next unit begins.
Then number the pieces of evidence up with what element the evidence relates to: eg element: 22, and then what number piece of evidence it is. So, for element 22, and for piece of evidence number 1, it would be 22.1 and for element 23, evidence number 5: 23.5.
Does that makes sense chick? :? Probably not, sorry if I've confused you more.
Hope it helps, that's all that I've been told.

Re:Portfolio layout
thats brilliant thanks a lot.
Also, for the witness statement lists. do i just get someone from my workplace to sign each piece of work evidence and then sign the witness list sheet or do they have to write anything?
Have you done evidence statements for every workplace evidence as well or just a few?0 -
Re:Portfolio layout
Hiya,
I am not too sure what to do on the signing off of evidence by your workplace. I was going to get them to sign each piece to say that I am capable? Then add there signatures to the witness list at the front by the index.
The evidence statements, I think that they are the same as a personal statmement at the end of each unit? :?
Basically what my course lecturer has advised me to do, is at the end of every unit, explain breifly what I do at work which relates to that unit on a sheet of paper, there is also then 2 columns for evidence number: ie, what evidence this statement relates to.
It is my frist year and I am a distance learner so you will have to bare with me on this, but this is what I am going to do.

Re:Portfolio layout
Sounds good to me. Thanks a lot for that.
good luck with your portfolio as well! the portfolio is the worsed bit of the course. I wouldnt mind it so much if we didnt have to do them!0 -
Re:Portfolio layout
I think that we should advise that to the AAT
It is the hardest part I have found also, especially as I am not in college studying the course.
I suppose at the end of it all the portfolio would be a great thing to show a new employer what you can do, and have done before 8)
Good luck chick
Take care
