Re:Help Required
Hi Michelle,
Sorry to hear about your run of bad luck.
I know Sandy Hood is running a couple of revision courses just before the exams - and I believe these are excellent - it just depends where in the country you are.
There's still a week or so to go before you do your exams so keep at it and just go in and do your best (which I am sure you will do).
Failing that, if you could some of your queries, maybe we can help you.
Kind regards

Re:Help Required
Hi Steve,
unfortunately I live too far away from where the revision courses are being held.
I'm glad I came onto the forum, I have seen lots of useful info that I can use to aid my study...
Many Thanks0 -
Re:Help Required
Like I say, if you need anymore help in the next week or so, there are lots of people that come on here that will be more than willing to help.
In particular, have a look at some of Sandy's replied to posters queries - these may prove invaluable to you.
Good luck.
Kind regards

Re:Help Required
My main problem currently is Business Tax in general, any help on how to tackle the basics would be good... :oops:

Re:Help Required
In which area, in particular? If you can crack corporation tax and VAT you are half way there. It was a few year's ago since I did AAT so I'm not 100% sure on what is examined and what isn't. If you post up some queries, you can guarantee someone will be able to answer them.
Kind regards

Re:Help Required

Re:Help Required
Hi Dean,
am going to take you up on that offer, can you explain the restriction to me in capital allowances?? (feel stupid for having to ask but it's bugging me :? )
thanks

Re:Help Required
Ok, you have different levels of CA's
FYA = First Year Allowance - 40% or 50%
WDA = Writing Down Allowance - 25%
BC = Balancing Charge
BA = Balancing Allowance
Also if any of the capital items you are claiming for have a element of private use, you must restrict the above allowances by this
Regards
Dean
p.s any more questions?
