Hi,

Does anyone have anything that they have been told that they should make sure they should revise for PEV and PCR?

For example things that have not been in the most recent past papers etc?

Cheers

Stacey

    Hi Stacey

Sandy Hood point out that it might be worth looking at these two ratio as they have come up in a while...

    Current ratio:

    Current Assets
    Current Liabilities

    Acid-test ratio/Quick ratio:

    Current Assets - Stock
    Current Liabilities

Also theres talk about needing to know Total Quality Management (TQM) and Value Engineering for memos and writen questions.

All the above may not even come up... we just dont know!

Hello, yes the TQM is in PEV.

In the PCR exam you will have to prepare a various budgets with some kind of wastage either on total production or on materials. The maybe some overtime or idle time for the laour budget, thats section 1.

Section 2 could be anything i.e standard costing, flexible budget, marginal costing, cost drivers, timeseries analysis etc. you get the general idea :)

Of course this is only my opinion and could be completely wrong

The examiner being a new One may throw in some of the new syllabus that does on come up much like scenario (what if analysis), sampling, balance scorecard, benchmarking, life cycle and target costing and value engineering. You should look at the syllabus to see what it covers because any of it could come up in the exam you would always get variances of some sort.

    Hi Stacey

Yes its a new examiner for PEV but also there is a new examiner for PCR luckily I have only got to sit the PEV to complete my AAT technician level although I am sitting the PTC as an opt extra.

If you are sitting the PCR aswell you should look at the syllabus for PCR to see what it covers incase questions that often don't come up could be thrown in this year seeing it's a new examiner.
