Hi all,
Am looking for a bit of help as i've been approached by an LLP to do their annual tax return. Now, i am an AAT MIP and licensed to carry out tax matters, but i am also an ACCA member and am therefore not allowed to do tax returns under their rules.

Can someone please tell me if an LLP must have a Chartered Accountant to complete/sign off it's tax return, or could i assist them to complete it and for them to sign it off in their own name?

Thanks for your help in advance...
Mel

This is why I'm not carrying on with ACCA - too restrictive.

I asked ACCA the same question, they told me you cannot prepare the return and get the client to sign it off as if they had completed it as you have done the work not the client.
