Relax, dont think of it as an exam!! Just think of it as sitting at home at your table, have a drink to hand and some biscuits or sweets, when the time comes to start and open the paper, dont, stop, take a sip of the drink, then open the paper and read it, all the way through. Have another drink, then start on question 1. Its just a case of not panicking. good luck

Hi, no you are not the only one I am really stressed thinking about going into the exam room and sitting at the desk. My mind just goes blank, I'm a mature student and i'm afraid that I wont remember anything. I have even been thinking about not turning up cause I'm so stressed.

    Good luck in the exam

I feel the same, no matter how much I have revised,I will still be so nervous on the day. Last year I was recommended 'Rescue Remedy' You can buy it at most chemists. I found it calmed my nerves down quite a bit.

Thanks for that, i'm a mature student too in fact this time last year i was a disillusioned engineer so as the old saying goes "better to be at the bottom of a ladder you want to climb rather that halfway up one you don't" so turn up for the exam and go for it.

i am a mature student, glad to hear there are others, feel a bit to old to be doing this.
I just find it difficult to remember formulas.

    Hi

I know it's a bit late for the June exams, but I find that by looking at the paper as a quiz rather than an exam, it makes it more bearable. In fact I rather enjoy exams. However, this does not stop me from getting nervious. I actually felt my stomach turn when I sat my ECR exam in June. I can get up and perform infront of 500 people for seven performances a week but I can't not get nervious for an exam. Weird Huh

I am currently performing in Avenue Q at the Noel Coward Theatre in London. Soon I will be moving on the work with an amateur company on Jekyll and Hyde.
