Could someone please post the answer of that here?? I didnt understand that and just wrote down any figures i thought were logical.
Marginal Costing and Revised ROCE (in section 2) were killers as well!!! In marginal i got like £399750 as the reconciled figure and said the £20k difference is because of fixed overhead expenditure variance, is that right?
I think i did really badly in these 3 areas and hence fail.

Re:Seasonal Variations
I got it as a 6% growth - you de seasonalised by taking off the positives and adding on the negatives and then you got a nice little upward trend that went up by about 400 per quarter - sorry can't remember the exact figures but then the 5 change between 1 and 4 came out at 6% - its the only bit i'm pretty sure I got right!0 -
Re:Seasonal Variations
YES! £400 a quarter... I dont know how i figured that out but
gad darn i got it!!!0 -
Re:Seasonal Variations
Think I got this completely wrong, if you took off and added the seasonal variations -1000 +1000 etc did this give you the £400 increase a quarter?
Couldnt see it, and sat there for ages trying to work it out, however did subtract the seasonal and add in where necessary so may pick up some marks for this?0 -
Re:Seasonal Variations
Dont ask how Im still remembering this but the calcutaion was this:
21,200 - 20,000 x 100 = 6%
20,000

dean
was the first and last figures the ones that went up per quarter by 400? if so, then thats what i put too, but to be honest i lost the will at that point coz i had already looked at it twice, tippexed it all out, moved on to complete the paper and then went back to it
my mind was mush, but if those 2 figures are Q4 and Q4 then I must have had a moment...!
