How is everyone feeling about today?

Any last tips for me, really want to feel confident about at least one as ECR was 50/50 forgot silly things.

    Not confident at all! i can never get my trial balance to balance. And do not like incomplete records!!!

    Try and relax, have a good breakfast, listen to a bit of soothing music, know that you have everything sorted for the exam, give yourself plenty of time, don't cram to hard before leaving the house and when you get to the exam venue keep saying to yourself " I can do this " this will help to block out any negative thoughts.

    Hi,

    I'm feeling a bit sick! :cry:

    I found ECR on Monday ok, but I 'enjoy' that one a lot more then FRA. This one just gets me confused! But I'm going to go in, take a (very) deep breath and do my best.....if worst comes to worst then December seems a nice month to take exams (probably give me more time to revise!)

    I'm off to relax now....if I don't know it now then reading my notes in a panic is not going to help.

    Well i decided to put off the costing to december since that was my weakest point , but i feel quite confident for this exam , where i lose out is i make silly mistakes and yes when i went though the mock exams and past papers i did not get one trial balance to balance , but at the end off the day what matters is exam day . so lets see how we all feal tonight , i have a nice train journey to london followed by the tube an then a nice trip back in the hight of the rush hour should get home around 7-8 tonight

    I hope todays exam will be ok for everybody. I completely messed up section 2 in the ECR exam, but costing isn't my strongest subject! I enjoy the finance so I hope it goes well, and they don't try to catch us out!!! :?

    Just keep reading the quetion before answering and put the firstanswer that comes to your mind as this is usually the correct answer.

    PEARLS -
    Purchases
    Expenses / Debits
    Assets

    Revenues
    Liabilities / Credits
    Sales

    well ive got to say, i don't wanna curse myself, but that actually went ok. my trial balance actually balanced, for the 1st time ever :-o . thank god its all over now.

    :cry: Well I completely blew it! Found the simulation and other ECR exam real easy but I couldnt balance. So I completeed the rest of the exam which I now know I done wrong then went back and changed the first part of the exam to try and balance then ran out of time. If I pass it will be a MIRACLE! Do you fail the whole course if you fail the exam or could the simulations and other exam save me. Thats hopeful aint it!

    Hi,

    I've just got home from taking FRA today. I couldn't get my trial balance to balance but remembered about something I'd read in the chief assesor report from one of last years exams, that if you create a suspense account, that helps with marks. Hope that's right ! :roll:

    Did anyone notice the problem at the back of the paper ? One of the students in my exam today completely missed the back page because it was covered with the flap where the assesors put their marks. :oops:

    well i think i also blew it.

    didnt balance so had to use a suspense.

    i answered every question with all of my workings so hopefully they will see where i went wrong.

    i feel much more confident about the ecr on monday but hey who knows

    august - aarrgghh
