Syllabus being changed?????

I know we've only just got the exams out of the way
, but I'm thinking that i'm probably going to have to retake the PTC paper at least of the 3 I took.
I've heard that they are changing the syllabus again, does anyone know if this is true or not? And if so, when will be the last time they will let us take exams on these standards?
Cheers

Re:Syllabus being changed?????
Hi
From what I can gather the standards MAY be due for a change in 2007. However, if this does happen they AAT should allow an overlap period to let people complete.
The standards last changed in 2003 but students have until the end of this month to complete simulations for the old intermediate and technician. So even if the standards do change, you shouldnt be caught short.

I think with the new format of AAT technician they're proposing that PCR and PEV are going to be treated as one unit at some point in the future. Maybe that's what you've heard. Not changing yet though.0 -

Hi
That would be along the same lines as the new Diploma route. Unfortunately, since the NVQ route is, well, an NVQ the AAT only has a say in its content or structure and dont make the decisions on it.
The current NVQ accreditation ends in 2007 but can carry on being run/awarded until June 2010, so it's logical to think the NVQ will be re accredited or 're-vamped' at somepoint around thouse dates. The last change was in 2003, the change previous to that was 1998 so it resonable to think new standards would come in every 4 or 5 years.
Either way, there will be a cross over period, assuming one is needed.
