Hello,
I did the PPL case study but I'm not sure what your question is. You don't need a heading in your report for the 'Diary of Events'.
If you look at the guidance material on this website there is an outline for the project which gives you the headings - Terms of Reference, Methodology, Executive Summary, Introduction, Analysis of the current system, Recommendations, Implementation and Review etc.
You need to organise your project under the same headings. You should extract the relevant info from the 'Diary of Events' as well as the other background information to back up what you say in your report. There are plenty of examples in the Diary of times when things went wrong. That should give you ideas of some weaknesses in the systems. Think about why they happened - that's analysing the current system. Then think about how they could be prevented/avoided - make recommendations.
I hope this helps.

What ive done is explained the weaknesses in payroll etc e.g paying cash.
And then im going to do my reccomendations for payroll etc.
Do i do the same for the mistakes in the diary of events or do i just put them in my recomendations???
& how long was your report how many pages just so i can get a clue to how many pages 4000 words is.

It sounds as though you are on the right track. Any recommendations are going to relate to the weaknesses from your analysis. If you need more specific advice have a chat to your tutor.
As for the length of the report, it will depend on your font, and how you lay it out. Remember to start each section on a new page. It's best to keep track of your word count as you go (in Word click on Tools and select Word count from the drop down menu). Remember that appendices aren't included. I saved each section and each appendix in a new document and just printed them all out, that way you can decide at the end what order to put it in. Remember - the most important thing is that you cover all the PCs and Knowledge & Understanding.
All the best,

Hi,
There's no set way of doing it, remember you can put lots in appendices. And it's really up to you how you cover everything. So you could have an appendix for 'Contingency planning'. I think some people in my college did this.
Personally, I had lack of contingency planning as a weakness in my analysis of the current system. Then I made some corresponding recommendations.
