Identifying evidence. How easy/hard is it?

Hi all. I am very new to this, so I will jump right on in. I've had a look through some of the posts and thought starting a new thread would be appropriate. I have just started my Foundation Level, and have just started my portfolio. :D

My queries are (I have asked my training provider, but while I wait for a response I would be interested to hear the views of other students) how easy do you find it to identify evidence? I have a couple of pieces of work which (depending on how I squint) could be relevant for several bits of Performance Criteria, or none. :?

Now, if I submit them, and my assessor doesn't agree with my cross referencing, is that where I may fail?

Hi there Bryony - From my experience, cross referencing is the key. The evidence itself, I found, doesn't have to be particularly extensive, obviously it's got to be legible/ relevant etc...

You can use the same evidence as many times over as you wish, wherever you think it's relevant, but like I say the key thing is cross referencing. Everything's got to be sensibly linked and relatively easy to follow.

I put a matrix in mine at the front with the areas that AAT expect to see, what I'd done to meet that requirement and what page the evidence was at.

    Hope that helps.
