ACCA expemtion

Hi,

im a little confused with ACCA registration. it says we need to register by end of July or 15th AUG at the latest inorder to register for december exams and recieve part1 exemptions. But we dont get our AAT results till 15th Aug. Does this mean we have to wait until january to start studying or are the ACCA flexible with the AAT exemtions? Ive tried looking on thier website, but it wasnt a great deal of help.

Unlike CIMA who have a special arrangement for AAT students, ACCA do not!

So, most people have to wait until the June sittings of the next year to sit their first exams.

ACCA actually extend there exmeption deadline for AAT students until the end of August or February.

If you have a look on the ACCA exemption database under AAT, you can download an exemptions booklet which gives the dates.

Yes Neil is right. I registered before the deadline date but they extended the exemptions date for the AAT results.

I finished my AAT in July 2004 and took my first ACCA exams in Dec 04.

Hi,
I spoke to ACCA a couple of weeks ago regarding this and they said to register before 15th August and to send your intermediate certificate as that will give minimum exemptions and then if we pass the technician to send this when we recieve it.

Just to add to my first post, it is only the exemption deadline that is extended NOT the registration deadline - its a case of register then claim exemptions later.
