Starting Technician

Does anyone know if you can start the next level without fully completing the one previous? The reason I'm asking is that my tutor is taking a very long time with my portfolio and there are still some things I have to do. I go on holiday tomorrow and in the meantime the College closes. I want to enrol for Technician when I get back but I obviously won't have finished the intermediate.

Thanks

    Hi

All levels of the AAT are open entry and so in thery you can enter any level you like. Howver, some colleges may not allow you to enrol for a particulalr level if they feel you aren't suitable to undertake it (i.e. prior knowledge etc).

The only ones who can really answer this question are the college.

Hi, I took both intermediate exams in June and am very unsure about the FRA. If I fail FRA my training provider is allowing me to start technician, as long as I have done my simulation.

Also in my class for intermediate there were people still finishing off their foundation portfolios in April this year, they had start intermediate back in September. So I'm sure you can continue and enrol for technician.

Hope this is of some use.

    Hi

Yes you can start the next level without fully completing the previous.

If you are distance learning, this won't be a problem but some colleges may insist you have completed the previous level before they let you enrol on the next. It's best to discuss this with the course tutor.
