How do I register for the ACCA?
Have tried to register online! But am not sure what scheme to register under - there is a choice of four!
Am hoping on compleating the AAT Technician qualification this summer so need a registration number from ACCA, so that my results can be sent out to the ACCA earlier!
Thank you

Re:ACCA Registration
Unless the process has changed, your results don't get sent to ACCA earlier. Is this something I don't know about? ACCA extend the exemption deadline for AAT due to the results not coming out in time, I didn't think AAT sent them any earlier!
You are wanting the professional stage.

Re:ACCA Registration
The AAT appear to be sending exam results to ACCA aswell as CIMA this year! Look on Students home page on AAT website!0 -
Re:ACCA Registration
Hi
The scheme you want (assuming you want to become a Certified Accountant) is the Professional Scheme.
The AAT wont send the results out any earlier than they are released to you, under the scheme they simply advise the ACCA of your results on the day they are released.

Re:ACCA Registration
When is the latest you can register to take the december sittings? Does it cost any money to register?
Also one last thing, I have just missed the deadline for my AAT project, is there anyway I can do the sittings in Decemeber for ACCA, maybe send it straight to them or something?

Re:ACCA Registration
Hi
You need to register by 15th August to sit exams in December.
Sending your project direct to ACCA wont do anything since it is the AAT who will be awarding you technician qualification. If you have a statement of acheivement showing completion of unit 11 and units 8&9, you can claim exemptions from ACCA p1.1 and p1.2 respectively. You could then enter papers at the Deceber sitting, but you would have to enter paper 1.3 as well since you must take papers in order, but not actually sit 1.3 and claim the exemption ASAP afetr completion of you project.

Re:ACCA Registration
Following on from what Neil said you would also have to pay twice for the exam if you did not sit it. You would pay once for not sitting it and once for the exemption.
If your college report your Unit 10 project to the AAT as soon as it is passed you would still get in for the exemptions deadline.
I guess you need to do a bit of sucking up to your tutor to get him to mark it and report it.
