I have just started my first role in an accountancy practice, having previously worked in purchase ledger and management accounts and am due to progress onto technician level this summer.
I started felling that i was happy with all the things we have covered at college so far. However, a week in i am feeling as if i have no clue whatsoever and everything seems so bewildering.
Please does anyone have any advice for me, as i am rather concerned that i may have made a mistake in taking this route. Also, what would a technician level student be expected to do - i dont know whether i am doing ok or not?
Thanks in advance

Re:First job in practice
There is such a chasm betweeen practice and management accountancy that you will feel totally bewildered to start with.
I've done both - and it's the best way to get all round experience, but you have to be patient.
Stick with it, you will be fine, honest!
