CIMA Exemption Costs

To any of you out there who have signed up for CIMA whilst your fingers are still crossed for AAT results and Certificate Level Exemptions - I have just discovered that you have to PAY for the exemptions - £185 for the 6 Cert. papers. This is on top of the other 2 CIMA sign up charges & study/exam fees and is not stated on CIMA's website.
Also, both AAT & CIMA act as if their doing you a great favour by rushing your entry through but you have to sign up & pay before the results are out. If you don't pass all AAT you don't get any refund from CIMA. If you do, I think AAT will be after more money too.
Whilst all these charges are possibly fair individually (?), hitting you with them all at about the same time makes you feel they're taking advantage/being greedy.
One definitely needs a pay rise for completing Technician (whether or not you pass) just to pay for all the extra costs!
