Hi

Just got my exam results actually through the post, and have passed on part 1 of the PEV exam and failed on part 2.

I didn't realise you learnt which parts you achieved on and now I feel I was close to passing.

Should I just admit defeat or appeal incase it was marked incorrectly.

It was my first exam I failed and am so confused! :?

Regards

    Hi Bailey7

I to am in exactly the same boat, I've never failed an exam before and I am only one exam from completeing Technician Level. I also failed on part 2. Think im going to admit defeat and take it as a lesson learnt. :(

    Hi Bailey7.

If you appeal and have your result changed to a pass, you get your appeal fee back and won't have to pay for a re-sit.

It depends on how confident you are that they may change your result.

I two have passed part 1 but failed part 2 how much does it cost to appeal and how long do you have to appeal

    Re:Should I appeal?

    Hi,

I appealed against my previous PEV exam which i had failed on.

The appeal went through but my mark was not altered so I still failed but I did get useful feedback to tell me where I went wrong.

This was good, and I have just passed my PEV and finished Technician Level. :D

I do think it is a bit steep - it costs more for an appeal than it does for an exam!

    Re:Should I appeal?

    Hi Alyson.

The appeal costs around £40, which you get refunded if your appeal is successful.

You have to send an email to:

    appeals@aat.org.uk

    Re:Should I appeal?

    Hi,

I failed my ECR last year but was convinced I had passed, especially when the answers to the exam were posted on the AAT Site. I appealed and got a letter back within 10 days to say that the AAT had made an error with the addtion of my points in Section 2 and I had in fact passed. My fee was returned. It is definately worth appealing if you are confident you should have passed. Good luck!
