Hello
As I have moved, I am thinking about changing college for technician level to the above venue (I have studied Intermediate @ West Herts in Watford). Is there anyone who has been there, who can give me feedback on the teaching, course and venue???
Thanks, Michelle :?:

I am a student at Haydon. The tutors are lovely and the pass rate seems to be pretty good. The facilities aren't great but its clean and tidy. Parking on site can be a pain but there are lots of carparks near by.0 -

Hi
Thanks for getting back to me, I wasn't expecting a response to be honest!!
Which level are you studying???
They assured me there is parking, haha show's how honest these places are.
What about the students, are they big groups and are the classes easy to understand?
Thanks

I'm in the middle of completing my technician - I have DFS left. Class sizes vary. There are some classes which are run twice a week (in the afternoon and in the evening) and these classes tend to have about 8-12 people in them but where the classes are only run in the evening these classes can be huge.
I think when I did PTC there were almost 20 people in the class but the lecturer was brill. I’ve found the classes ok – obviously some subjects were harder to master than others but it all depends how much you put in outside of class. The lecturers are all really friendly and will give you their email address to contact then outside of lectures should you need it. The lecturers all have different teaching methods so it’s hard to comment on their styles but I usually try and read the chapter before lectures and go armed with any questions. There is a new chap teaching DFS in September so goodness knows what his teaching style will be like. Pat Cumberpatch is the course leader and she is lovely (she also has a great deal of patience) - have you spoken to her?
You can email me directly if you have any other questions : Anthea.Small@oxon.blackwellpublishing.com

Hey
I am guessing you got day release then, lucky if you did. My company won't consider that option, but nevermind at least they are happy to pay!
