Variances for Unit 8.

Hi,

I'm having trouble getting to grips with variances for standard costing? Anyone got any tips or ideas how I should learn this? I've read the osbourne book- found this confusing, read Frank Wood- needs further study but I've tried going through the questions and can't seem to grasp it. Any help apreciated.
