Feeling tired with studying lots

I've started studying for technician and doing the revision for FRA as I've got that as well in December. I've been getting up as 6 O'clock and working until about 11:30pm. I'm getting a bit tired. Am I doing too much and is it time for time out for an evening?

Any views apreciated as I'm not very good at organising my time.

yes i think your definatly overworking yourself and if you carry on like this your just gonna get fed up and quit!!! my advice is to do only about and hour to an hour and half about three nights a week, have a couple of night off and a day at the weekend, on the day try and do a big block of about four hours but split it up between your day, don't do it all at once!!!!

You will definitely get fed up of it doing that much - it sounds like you already are! You might even end up over-working yourself so much that you're not really taking anything in.

You need to play as well as work!

I try to stick to 2 hour sessions twice in the week and a 3/4 hour session at the weekend.

thanks for that. I work full-time as well though so its hard for me to decide when its best to study. What you mean is pace myself and not overdo it so that I'll get fed up. It's hard sometimes when you've got deadlines.

    Thanks.

I know how you feel, I work full-time too and sometimes the last thing you want to do when you get home is study.

I find taking my books in to work and working there for a few hours helps as there are no other distractions.

I try to work it that I can go out and do something only if I have completed a few hours study - if I don't, I feel all guilty!

It doesn't have to be a strict routine, unless you prefer it that way, just aim to do X hours a week and fit them in when you can.

Reward yourself for your work - it gives you a bit of motivation!

Thanks for your advice. I just have to take regular breaks as well when I'm studying. It can be hard though sometimes.

    Re:Feeling tired with studying lots

i know the feeling i also work full time (which alot of us do) and have a house to run so i try and keep organised and set my self study periods for each week and thats when i do it making sure its not interfering with sleep as not enough sleep will affect your memory so all the work your doing is wasted eat regukary and take breaks and drink enough fluids , try and egt a study buddy even if they are doign a different course it still means a set time for youto study and you can ensure each other take breaks etc
good luck with the course and try not to burn the candle at both ends
