Help I am having trouble with my report I have no idea what to do or where to start.
I am not working so will find this unit harder.
I have printed all the stuff for this unit off the AAT website so I can read it.
Any ideas what I can write about or where to start.
I want to get cracking and get this fineshed by christmas ( hopefully )
Please Help!!!

Re:Unit 10 help for a non working student.
Hi,
Are you doing the simulation for the project??? If not the way I approached it was to look at something that annoyed me about my job and focus on that. So if you are not currently working, depending on your college, you may be able to use the last place you worked as an example. I think it has to be within 2 years for the AAT to accept it.
If you do a Strengths v's Weaknesses table I found this a good way to start, you can then use this as the basis of your project. The more weaknesses you can think of the better.0 -

Hi,
I'm in the same position as you, I am not working at the moment, also I have been in full time college for the last three years, so I am really panicking, cause I dont have a clue what to do the report on or how to start it.

hi guys
i do not work at mo( for past 5 years in fact) but i did simulation and passed first time.
I answered all the criteria as questions and then re arranged into a report. It was hard at first but it just flowed once i got going.
hope this helps.

Re:Unit 10 help for a non working student.
hi there
not being funny but i was not exactly top of the class at college. so if i passed project no probs i have faith that most other people will as well. i just worked hard , used common sense and it paid off. you get out what you put in!!!!!
i broke down the problems, matched them to pc's and re-arranged into a report. Not had to prepare a report for about 10 years so it was tough, just set aside time to do it. i have a child, so i know time is hard to find.
good luck

Re:Unit 10 help for a non working student.
I did the Simulation Case Study, it was difficult to start but I used the template provided on the AAT website showing where the methodology, terms of reference and introduction and executive summary etc should appear in the report, also they were tips like don't include charts of people and responsibilities in the introduction, but put them in as appendices, also under methodology and terms of reference it describes what should be included in that section.
Also I know everyone is saying the Case Study is difficult but don't you think if have to try and find everything from differect places at this late stage, that would be even harder, at least with the Case Study all the weaknesses and strengths were easily identifiable (all in one place already) all that needed to be done was re-phrase them and write the solutions (these can be investigated in the library, internet, or from what you have learnt on the AAT course) also Osbourne, FTC and BPP are selling books for Unit 10, I used the FTC book to give me insight on how to write the report what is relevant and what is not relevant.
I read the case study the first time to do a SWOT analysis, then left it for 6 months went back to it, read it again (as not surprising, I forgot everything). Spent a whole night writing my first draft and sent it off to the Assessor to mark, she came back with comments I rewrote it, she came back with questions, I answered them and it was finally signed off.
Good luck with everyone doing their projects this semester.

Re:Unit 10 help for a non working student.
if I were you i would do the simulation. i did unit 10 last year and some people found it hard to do their actual job specification as they didn't cover all the requirements.
i would advice anyone out there to first do a draft, show your tutor, as you progress. i unfortunately, did the whole thing and was way off the mark. the first time round but the tutor was excellent and gave me some good advice. the aat format is a good one to follow and feedback from your tutor is a good pointer. make sure you cover all the critiria, don't give up keep going but complete the project early so it does not interfer with your revision. studying comes with a rush at the end.
good luck with everyone doing this, this year.0
