Bookkeeping - hourly rates

I've just qualified at foundation level and have started the intermediate course.
I'm a secretary and have been offered some part time work as a bookkeeper for a small business (I know I'm not to mention the AAT in any way) but have absolutely no idea what sort of hourly rate to charge.
Can anyone help?
Jo

Re:Bookkeeping - hourly rates
I'll be entering all the sales and purchase invoices onto SAGE (instant), doing the bank and preparing for year end. He's got a firm of accountants that do his payroll and VAT returns. I'll just be doing the day to day bits and pieces.0 -
Re:Bookkeeping - hourly rates
Roughly only going by your qualifications then i would say around £10 to £12 an hour is realistic0 -
