Does anyone know? I do not finish my AAT technician exams until December. Will I be likely to get my exemption through, ready to enter May 2007 exams for CIMA?

Re:CIMA!?
The AAT have an arrangement with CIMA, and there is an extended deadline for AAT students.

Excellent, thanks Scott0 -
Re:CIMA!?
Hi
Since the summer 2005 results, the AAT has forwarded to CIMA the details of AAT students who have passed the Technician stage. Since then they have done this each time the rsults are issued. Providing you have completed everything (exams and skills tests) for tehcnician in time for the December in February 2007, you should be fine. You'll need to inform the AAT of your wish to have your results forwarded to CIMA (they put details on the AAT website) and you will need to be already regsitered with CIMA by their closing date for student registrations.

Re:CIMA!?
Hi guys
I am in the same situation as solentmort but will be taking ACCA instead of CIMA.
Does the AAT pass on to ACCA my results to exempt me in time for the June exams?
Thanks

Re:CIMA!?
Hi
Yes they do (at least they did this summer) but as with CIMA you will need to register with ACCA by their required registration date.

Re:CIMA!?
Wait until January before registering though, as you will get charged for this year, and still have to renew your fees at the start of next year.

I'm in the same situation for ACCA. But scotty if you register in January wouldn't that make you illegilble to give exams in June?..I thought deadline to register with ACCA for June exams is 31st December and deadline to register for June exams is extended till end of february for AAT students, have i got wrong info?0 -
Re:CIMA!?
Hi Uday.
Those dates seem wrong.

Re:CIMA!?
Uday is correct.
If you wish to sit exams in Jume you do need to be a registered student member by 31 December. Prehaps your thinking of the extended deadline to claim excemptions.
I have just double checked on their website and unfortunately it means you get clobbered for 2 sets of fees.

Re:CIMA!?
My apologies - does that deadline apply to new students as well?

Re:CIMA!?
hi
If you wish to enter the exams for May 2006 then you have to register by the 31st jan 06. I have just paid my fees online today and applied for my exemptions. I have received an email confirming receipt of payment and it states as I have paid after the 8th September my fees are for 2007 aswell! bonus!

Does anyone know the closing date for student regitration with CIMA? As I am in the situation where I have one more exam of AAT to sit in December as I was under the impression that you could not register with CIMA untill you were AAT qualified....0 -
Re:CIMA!?
Hi
CIMA now have an open registration, but you will be inable to take exams at the managerial level until you have completed or exempted from the certificate level. CIMA use to have entry criteria for which the AAT intermediate was recognised.

Re:CIMA!?
So is that a case of I need to resiter with CIMA now, or can I wait until I get results in February? to sit exams in May 20070 -
Re:CIMA!?
You wont need to register with them now, but check their website for the registration closing dates.0
