Couple of questions about the portfolio

Hi,
Got given my portfolio the other day and the health and safety unit to work on and i have a couple of questions ...
1) If i send off my work and its not good enough, do i get it sent back to improve on or is it marked as a fail and no other chances to make it up to standard? Because i dont want to spend hours and hours and hours completing the unit if i can still pass with just a few hours.
2) Im not sure how i should be numbering and indexing my pages. Do i have an index (im sure this should be contents but they call it index) for each unit and number each unit seperatly or have one big index and continue the page numbers from start to end.
e.g. So just imagine i have 10 units of 10 pages do i have each unit numbered 1 - 10 or the whole lot numbered 1 - 100?
Kinda same lines, does each unit have its own appendix or one big appendix for all units?
Think thats it for now!

Chris
Your assesor will either sign the unit off if it complete or send it back with a feedback form details where you need to do more work.
As for indexing it's up to you. However, I found it easier to index each unit & colour code each unit as there's a lot of cross referencing that's required. One piece of evidence can be used many times for different units. The Index is then in one place - I just amended my word doc as the portfolio progressed.
Hope that helps,
Good luck!

Re:Couple of questions about the portfolio
Thanks for the reply
So if i get my work sent back, i can do the improvements suggested and then send it back right? Also, when/how do i find out who my assesor is? Do they come and see me at work every now to see how im getting on?0 -

Sorry I should probably have used the word 'tutor' instead of 'assesor'!
Are you studying at a college or distance learning?

Re:Couple of questions about the portfolio
I suppose its more college like, i have to got to 'classes' every now and then (1 or 2 a month) but its not the actual college in the city if that makes sense. Our classes are run by a company that specialise in accountancy training.0
