Help.....Motivation needed!

I study at home but I've had a year off. I've paid for my exam fees and I'm due to sit my last exam in December. I just can't seem to find the motivation to study, with a full time job and 2 kids there is just always something else that needs to be done.
I'm taking Business tax I think it is similar to personal tax which I took last year. I'm hoping this will help me to learn the whole unit in the 10 weeks we have left.
Any wise words (or possibly a kick up the bum) would be appreciated.
Thanks

Print guidance notes off this site. Read through them and split them into 10 sections (one per week) and it is quite managable. At least then you have a steady, but adequate study coverage by the time december comes. I usually try to complete an exam paper each week to0 -

okay heres your kick up the bum as requested:
If you dont get into gear you'll end up being skint stuck in a dead end job with no prospects sat next to a couple of weasels all day.
Any good? As they say you have to be cruel to be kind sometimes.

You mention you have 2 kids, thats is where I get my motivation from, I have 4 kids, 3 Dogs, 2 Budgies, 1 Hapmster, 1 Rabbit, 4 Goldfish and a Wife.
In simple terms, putting the hours in to study means you will pass with no problems and make a better life for all those who mean so much to you by having the qualifications to get a better more higher paid and respected job.
Cheers

If you were putting your dependants in order of "food chain", then surely wouldn't the rabbit come before the budgies and "Hapmster"?! Can't fault the rest of it though...

A bit upset that the wife comes last in the food chain.

Hi Greenfly
Was in similar position to you this time last year - part-time job, 3 kids and an exam looming (studying by distance learning). I must admit the only way I made it was to be selfish for the last few weeks and putting my own needs first knowing that by the beginning of Dec it would be all over until January when the studying started again.
You need to look at the bigger picture and where this is leading to and that it is not forever.
Best wishes
Eva
