Hello
I have been put forward for a job , discription below , and was just wondering if it was a job that will work in conjunction with what I am studying on technician ?

To record and report production variances assisting Section Managers in their investigation. • Provision of timely and accurate information.
To produce weekly accounts pack and other reports for the site on an accurate and timely basis and in the required format • Internal weekly reporting documents are produced accurately and in line with weekly deadlines;
To assist in the maintenance of SAP • Changes to the way data is recorded/reports being used in line with standard operating procedures are communicated to appropriate personnel on site.
To assist in the updating of labour and material standards as appropriate • All labour and material standards are reviewed and updated as part of the annual budget process.
To prepare product costings • Provision of timely and accurate information;
• Costs communicated to commercial department/via development process.
To continually review and update product costings to ensure margins and margin accuracy are maintained• Current costs are reviewed and updated on a quarterly basis with any significant changes communicated appropriately;
• Current costs are updated on a timely basis for any known changes to the product affecting the cost.
To create and maintain an organised filing system of all weekly reports and documentation generated • Full audit trail is maintained for all weekly reporting;

Re:Perfect Job ?
If you want to go into management accounting - perhaps doing CIMA after AAT, this sounds like an ideal role, however if you want to do tax, you might be lacking on the experience front.
If it is what you want to do, go for it, and good luck.

My opinion would just echo what Claudia has said above.
ACCA is also appropriate for industry so this could be an option for you.
I would go for it and see what you think.
