I need some help..I am due to go into a local high school next week & be an advisor to a small group of young enterprise student, advising them on keeping their financial records correctly etc.
A teacher came to see me today to advise me on what I can expect them to ask me..all pretty straightforward stuff EXCEPT she said they will be selling 'Share certificates' to finance the business & I will need to explain to them how to record them!!!
Help, am I being really thick?? any help/thoughts would be appreciated!! :?

Sounds like they will be selling 'shares' in their business to raise capital and issue the shareholders with 'share certificates'.
File the correct forms at companies house and keep a share register (essentially a list of all shareholders and number of shares held)
