Best place to start

Where is the best place to start when looking to work self employed bookkeeping? I am currently working in practice preparing accounts. Am doing Intermediate level at the min. I am looking to leave employement but carry on with AAT. Would like to set up on my own. Any tips and advice much appreciated!! Also how did you keep the bills paid while setting up? Part-time work??

    Go back through this forum - there have been loads and loads of similar queries to yours.

    All the best with it - I wouldnt change it for the world :lol: actually after the day that I have just day well maybe :wink:

    i second that, there's lots of info on the forums already, and yes, for the first year I was still temping through an agency to pay the bills, gradually reducing my hours until I was on my feet.

    I don't know if i'd agree with claudia's bit about not changing it for the world though :lol:
