Anybody else use PTP products?

I have used their IT, CT and Payroll software for some time and am very happy with the cost, service and quality of the products.

Iris have been giving assurances that they will continue to maintain the standards set with the PTP product but I can't see them continuing to operate a product that is in direct competition with their own for much longer.

Anyone else worried about the takeover?

What tax software do you use?

    Funny enough i've just read about this on another forum and the generally worries are as you've described Dean.

    Personally I don't use any PTP products but I have heard good things about them. I do however use IRIS for Final Accounts Production and can't rate it enough.

    I currently use TaxCalc for my tax work but may consider IRIS in future as it has the "complete" practice management all intergrated... watch this spcae.

    I have been using PTP for about 3 years and they are brilliant - went to an Iris seminar last year, and it is just toooooo all singing all dancing, and too damn expensive for a small practioner like little ol' me. Having read all the comments on accounting web, I agree that Iris will just phase PTP out - otherwise why bother?

    So - next question - what to use instead of PTP - anyone got any suggestions?

    Digita has always got rave reviews..

    I tried their corporation tax software and really liked it. Accounts production not quite so good.

    I would have purchased it except they have a huge one-off licence fee in your first year that put me off.

    I have had their sales reps phone me every now and then offering discounts on the licence fee to try and get me on board so I may be pursuing it next year.

    This might be the defining thing for me - does any of the other software convert from PTP into theirs????

    The thought of having to input all those details (correctly :roll: ) onto a new system - OMG!
