Hello,
I'll be starting Technican level early next year and wondered how people were faring with home study Technician compared with college evening courses?
I did Intermediate on home study with Premier training and was thinking about going to college eve classes for Technician level as it will be harder.
What are your opinions of studying with BPP and Kaplan etc?
Would be very interested to hear.

Hi Nick.
If you enrol at your local college you will be able to share ideas / advice with your classmates.

Thanks but I was hoping to get some info to help me decide before I enrol anywhere.

Hi
I did distance learning for both intermediate and technician. Technician was hard, but it is a question of motivation and pacing yourself. I decided to take 2 year to complete technician and although it seemed an eternity by the end, I passed each exam first time round (although I did go on Sandy Hoods PEV/PCR course.
Best of luck

Re:Home study or college evening classes?
I tried distance learning many years ago when I was in the process of being made redundant from a job I had as an insurance underwriter and fancied a change of career.
I have to confess that i didnt keep the studies up and ended up with another insurance job!
I am now having a career break whilst raising family and completed both foundation and intermediate levels at college. Am doing tech at college as well as this def works better for me as you have that direct contact with tutors and other students so you know better and quicker if you are hreading in the right direction, but its whatever works for you.0 -
Re:Home study or college evening classes?
Hello,
I studied all levels of AAT home study with BPP and it is pretty tough. I found that I learnt more on the three day revision courses that I had in the entire six months of home study that I did for each unit and looking back, would rather have taken evening classes.
