Re:Study Buddy
!0 minute drive on good day, 30 mins on bad day. Could walk but the return journey is up a 2:1 hill and I'm a bit too cream crackered to try and attempt the north side of the eiger

Re:Study Buddy

Re:Study Buddy

Re:Study Buddy
Agree but he is a blooming good entertainer, one of the best gigs I ever went to.0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Yeah true. Did you ever those Stiff Little Fingers? One of my fave punk bands. Having a big Clash revival at the moment though!0 -
Re:Study Buddy
I did see Stiff Little Fingers
Seen the Clash too. You have reminded me, I must get all my old albums onto my walkman

That is a filthy habit carried out in this area by people from 1 - 100. They need making to clear it up again afterwards :x0 -
Re:Study Buddy
There are loads of people who are *******, I dont judge their music on that basis though :?0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Howdy doody!
Just got a mention (about 40 pages ago) by Jan, so thought I would say 'hi'.
Helen - Robert is referring to my having 'pursued' him before xmas. So, everyone can relax...
I think a sense of humour is vital, and having enthusiasm and making learning 'fun' helps it to sink in. (General attitudes to study, etc). I have valued Robert's contribution. We just had a disagreement. And he seems to be taking it personally. I was hoping we could move on. (Jayne has moved onto better things, and that is the most important thing...)
I like 'Flowers of Romance' by PiL. And, Jan - who is the gorgeous lady in your avatar? And is she single?
Sorry, can't compete with Farmer Giles and co with the scintillating repartee, so I will depart, and return to, erm *checks dictionary*, erm 'eavesdrop' is the only one I can think of...
Take it easy Gem. Bye, guys.0 -
Re:Study Buddy
So, the illusive Toadface is just an eavesdropper. Are you webstalking us to collect info for blackmail later in life,eh?
Come on back and join in, I'm sure that your repartee can be just as good(or bad) as ours

Re:Study Buddy
Glad to know you are still with us Toadface
. Seems I'm not the only one who "eavesdrops", although I seem to have been drawn into the web (of lunacy) at times.
I remember your ...er discussion with Robert, caused quite a stir! You also used to offer a lot of encouragement and support for your fellow students. Happily my exams are long behind me, but I find it useful to come here if I have a question, or if I can answer any.
Don't know who she is - just a look I would have loved to adopt if I was younger and braver! I've got the dark hair and big brown eyes, but that's where any resemblence ends.Jan - who is the gorgeous lady in your avatar? And is she single?
This thread has been getting a bit of stick lately, but I'm certain the powers that be would have pulled the plug long ago if it was getting too out of hand. Although it has got away from its original intention, I find myself disappointed if there is not much "chatter" going on. I often work on my own so this is the equivalent of "round the photocopier". (with apologies to Claudia).
OK, perhaps I should get treatment for that and especially as it is Saturday morning and I've just come to see who is on! But then FG was here a while ago.
Your "bye guys" sounded so final
. Join in, there is no a "clique".

Re:Study Buddy
Oh yeah! I still pop on occasionally...
'Dark hair and big brown eyes' - corrrr! (They don't let me out much...)
For my dastardly plan, I require candid photos including marigolds, buckets and wax...
And for my 'repartee' you will need the bucket! I think I exhausted my funny lines, in the first pages of this thread... (And most of those were accidental, that I decided to leave... )
Won't they be deleting this thread at the end of the year? I'm pretty sure when I joined, this off-topic area was empty. Though Helen used to entice and beckon...

Re:Study Buddy
Hi guys and gals,
Nice to think I'm not the only one working on a Saturday morning!
Plenty of overtime is the only way to get a halfway decent amount of money out of my employer. At least its only for three more weeks...0 -
Re:Study Buddy
Good luck with your new job!
Gonna head out for a while. Will try and get back on web later.

Re:Study Buddy
Hey Toadface,
how are you doing mate!
How is the studying going? Have you got to the point of where you wanted to be?

Re:Study Buddy
Not too bad Mandy.
Been taking it a little too easy for the past month, so getting motivated again. Have you fully recovered from your 'bevvies'?
Hoping to do some decorating over the summer - repaint bedroom, and put some shelves up, etc. Still sorting out what I am doing in September. But focusing on impending exams at the moment.
So, Graham. Hope your move is a good one. I appreciate that it can be irritating, but I agree that is not worth making a fuss, with only three weeks to go. Take it easy. (edited...)
What has happened to Rae, Katie and Anna? Are they still students?
Have started computerised acounts at college. But finding it a little baffling, after doing everything manually. Anyone else feel that it is a bit 'alien'?
And, don't forget - I need candid photos...
