    I spent six months doing consultancy work in Knutsford many years ago. Travelling home to Maidenhead on a Friday night was always was always fun... I once spent over two hours on the M6 between Stoke and Stafford :roll:

    Yep I know knutsford well. And I know that part on the motor way too :P Robbie did a song about knutsford :)

    I knew Maidenhead in the early seventies. When I was stationed at RAF West Drayton a lot of our people were billeted in Maidenhead

    Because of all the roads that are closed around here, including motorways traffic is terrible through Retford as everyone is being diverted through it! So she wont pick me up anyway!

    Apparently the roads are fine, its everywhere else that is the problem! Like getting to the roads! (Which will be my problem from work! Our park is on the news as it is under 3ft of water and that is my usual way home! :cry: )

    Rae, I can't imagine how it must be but I really feel for you, and you FG. I thought it was terrible that poor lad lost his life helping out with the floods and then got stuck in a drain and died. :shock: :cry:
