    I think I'm going to have to join in the angry screaming at the universe. I have just taken another customer complaint 'phone call and I'm shocked and appalled at my company's incompetance. 18 months ago, we bought a large number of contracts from another company. We didn't take on any of their staff, or bother to learn how they ran things. For instance, all our service callouts are chargeable- their old supplier wasn't. They used to receive payments by standing order- no-one told the customers to change the account the payments went to. Also, we have less than half of the number of engineers we need- so those we do have are overworked and severely stressed. So they leave. Which means we can't do all our services. Which means we p*** off our customers. Who ring up to speak to the credit control department, which is staffed by two part-timers (we need four full-time), so they have to talk to the people in accounts who don't ever deal with that side of the business, so can't help them at all. I'm not going into the details of this customer's complaint, but its pretty damn awful. And I try to defend the company, but the customer is entirely in the right. I can only sympathise with him as I marvel at our own uselessness.
