    I think my spelling has got worse over the years - I usually know when things are wrong even without spell checker, but can't think how to put it right. Auto correct on spell check just makes us lazy, which I think is why spelling has got worse.

    Still hacking like an old carthorse. It's taking it's toll this time. Not sleeping, can't take time off, PA on leave and boss off sick so just assistant and me in

    And you are still calling it a cold - has to be man flu !

    Haven't you just come back from hols - the number of people who come down with a cold after being couped up on a plane. My other half has been coughing and groaning since we got back - sat up in bed with chest pains last night and I slept right through it :shock:

    Probably something to do with sitting around an airport for 8 hours to be told the flight had a broken wing and we were being taken to a hotel for the night(at midnight-30) and that we would fly next day at 1345. Then leaving the airport in a thunderstorm.
    I don't do "manflu", I just have a whinge and get on with it. I can't even taken decongestants because of my heart medicine.
    And guess who has to go for his flu jab on Saturday :lol::lol:

    I must admit to currently having "man-flu" which I've exploited to the full and had the last two days off work (using holiday!). Though I really am quite ill with sickness (i.e. puking), constant coughing and sniffing, bad throat, crackly voice, tiredness etc!

    Plus I haven't had a day off since June and as H knows, it's been very very stressful here lately so I'll take any excuse for a break! Sod the directors - I'm long overdue for some "me-time"! Cancelled all the kids and my other half - this weekend is gonna be for me only! Bliss!

    A DVD box set of nine Columbo episodes awaits!

    Columbo is a timeless classic but I'd have to say the old ones from the early 70's are better than the new ones from the late 80's/90's/00's.

    You just can't beat the way he makes the criminals squirm throughout and the look on their faces when the penny drops and they finally realise they've been outsmarted!

    Still unbeatable!
