I need help in where to start revision for my PEV exam in December. I've been revising but nothing seems to be going in. When i did this exam back in June i didn't understand the subject then. Where's the best place to start revision. Should i just jump in and start having a go at the past papers or should i just try to understand costing. I haven't started panicing yet about the exam, but i'm sure i will soon, especially if i don't start understanding PEV.

Re:PEV help
My advice is to spend half an hour quickly looking over your notes for one topic (say variance analysis)
Then get a past paper from the section on this site. And NOT the examiner's answers.
Start the variance question and work through it in as long as it takes.
This could be one hour and then a break and another hour and you may struggle, but forcing yourself to just keep going will make you see how much you remember.
Only when you have finished should you look at the examiner's answer (contary to a lot of other students).
Compare your answer (but don't necessarily change your approach if your technique is different)
Then look at the areas you got wrong and the areas you found a struggle before going back to the past papers and getting another.
This approach to revision is 90% active. You are having to think about questions and then putting down answers. It will lead to you rememberig a lot more than passively reading notes.
Good luck
