Hello everyone. I am currently studying certificate level aat and though i am not finding it extremly difficult there are some points (well quite a few- namely double entry, ledgers) i need to understand in more depth. I feel snowed under by the amount of material we are to grasp by the early december exams.
Anyway if there are any tutors out there or students who understand/already passed certificate level please contact me asap.

    First of all, download the IAC past papers from this website. Ignore the Answers and the Assessors Guidance notes. (Assuming 'Certificate' = Diploma pathway!)

    Secondly, also download as many of the PLB papers as you can (also ignore Answers). They should be easier, as some of the areas aren't covered by PLB - assessment is through Sims and Portfolio. The basic double-entry is very similar, though.

    Then, try the exam papers. Only look at the answers to find your weaknesses!

    Also look at any other threads that catch your eye.

    You've got basically 3 weeks.

    Any help you need after testing yourself with past papers - just ask!!! [edit passed and moved on]

    Also, be willing to 'play' with the numbers - see what happens if you put it on the wrong side, or into the wrong accounts... Don't be too serious about things! :lol:

    Thanks alot, i have already downloaded all the papers off this site. It would just make things alot easier if i had someone to sit with to help me through it. I know i havent got much time (have revision classes coming up next week).
    To be honest i had my mind set on sitting it in june but my lecturer and sister talked me into sitting it in dec. Trying to remain positive but i'll be happy if i get 50%. Well at least i'll have the experience of the exam conditions.

    Best attitude to have - if you fail, you can retake it in June. So, congrats on that element of your views...

    And 'negative' wastes energy and distracts you! So do something...

    Anyone else want to offer advice or help to mixx3000?

    There has been no response, yet, from mixx3000.

    Perhaps, someone else's approach would be better than mine, thus persuading him/her to return...
