Re:December Exam
Well, I would expect nothing less than brutal from a brummie-in-denial such as yourself Paul... in fact the only thing missing was a boxing glove to the head in response to the original poster. No wonder they've never posted again (at time of writing)!
I may need help with the whole CIS tax thing in the future though as I'm dealing more and more with constructors and admittedly have little idea about it...
Regards,
Robert
(P.S. I still disagree with you on that FIFO/LIFO stores thing though! LOL!) :twisted:0 -
Re:December Exam
Constructors are fine, it's the sub-contractors you need to worry about!
Helen.

Re:December Exam
Thank you Helen and Robert for your response.
All I needed is motivation as examination count down weeks draw nearer, not sharp razor from Paul. :!:

Re:December Exam
Take no notice Lizy, Paul is all over this forum like a bad rash, I have been reading various comments. I think I read somewhere that he is re sitting an exam. Obviously he is that confident he will pass.
Good Luck0 -
Re:December Exam
Yes I am re sitting.
A bad rash? A little harsh. I just like to add a little humour where I can. Most people will tell you (who are on here often) that I mean no harm i am sure.
No problem blobby!! lol, I had forgot about that!!

p.s, I cant really believe that my post actually offended anybody, surely? Maybe its time I just stopped coming on here altogether if that is the opinion of me!0 -

Come on! Put down your hand bags and start acting like grown women. We're supposed to be supporting each other not extracting urine!

Re:December Exam
Now this is interesting and I must admit I do bloody love a bit of controversy!!!
This is the second time I've leapt to Paul's defence but I think you're the one who's way out of line here Jamie... why haven't you yet completed your own credentials on the "super team" forum instead of mocking those of others?
I'm also guilty of taking the pee on here at times, and if that offends then - God, lighten up! What we do at work is stressful enough and though this isn't the intended use for these forums, it's good to have a little laugh now and again!
Jeez...

Off the original subject. Trust me the CIS thingy ain't that hard (honest) I used to work in a company where we dealt with that many sub-contractors... If you need any hints and tips or advice I can try to help

Hi, if you are struggling with anything in particular with these two subjects, do not hesitate to mail or pm me, and I will try to help you.
As for 'tips' just keep practising and practising!
Good luck!0 -
Re:December Exam
Cheers for that Paul, I seem to be ok on all the formulae etc, am just worried bout the different "twiddly" bits the AAT throw in, i mean how am i supposed to know it ALL, stratisfied this and random that, actual x standard, OAR x my head hitting the wall :x PLUS write a memo to some berk who has cocked things up or doesnt know what they are doing! The June 2006 PEV paper threw me cos we haven't covered aquisitions, maybe i am paniking a bit, but am not happy at mo with amount learnt!0 -
Re:December Exam
It's a shame you always get the odd *wont say the word* on here.
Paul is great. He's helpful and adds a bit of wit to these, lets be honest, dull forums.

Re:December Exam
Nice to see you acting so ladylike Gem, respecting the decorum of this website and therefore not using vile profanity on here...
However as for myself, I have no such reservations... so are we allowed to use the new cyber swear word "tw@" Malcolm...? After all it's not so obvious until you really look at it...

Re:December Exam
I think we should be allowed to type what we want, its freedom of speech. Would anybody on here actually be offended by swearing?0 -
Re:December Exam
Well I'm all for that so I say go ahead and fill your boots, Paul. Let rip with that four letter tirade we know is dying to fight it's way out of your inner self...
Meanwhile, the rest of us will no doubt just quietly admire your courageous stand while wondering exactly for how long you will remain a forum member afterwards....

Re:December Exam
Hi All
After a hard day at work it has been really entertaining to read this thread - and nice to see we have all kissed and made up at the end.
It is great to see humour hasn't been lost amongst the stress and the strain of revision and everyday life.
Be Happy

Re:December Exam
i would never fall out with any of the genuine forumers - hows that for good english!!0 -
Re:December Exam
What would you know about genuine English Paul coming from Brum as you do? And are you sure you're not getting confused with that other initially serious thread that's now also descended into comical chaos elsewhere - you know the capitals one...?
It has been an interesting thread though hasn't it, However I thought the genuine low note was when chelledunleavy had to mention M*nchesterunited... the longest swear word in the whole English language...
Go and wash your filthy mouth out...

Re:December Exam
Couldnt agree more blobbyh.
Nothing wrong with the way brummies speak, although I do insist that I am not actually a brummie!
And I have to point out that southern France is so much more appealing than rural spain! France is a fantastic country.
