Anyone else out there that should be revising :?:
Finding it hard to get to it. All I can see is blue skies and I want to be out there :!:

Apparently you can post on this forum without logging in - hence my anon responses :!:
No time to talk - should be revising

Re:Surfing or revising?
Currently surfing, but for the good of my career.
I did shed loads of revising over the weekend and did a past paper (PLB) yesterday. I felt all confident, then BANG! I looked at the answers. Seems like I have a fair way to go yet... :shock:0 -

Don't panic - nothing worse than peaking too early :!:

Re:Surfing or revising?
Have to agree with Helen here, if I start revising too early I just forget it. I start about 2 weeks before the exam and judge it on my first practice exam, I suppose everyone has their own methods of doing it.
All the servers are down where I work and I can't do any work, so my boss has suggested I use today as a study day!! How cool is he 8) 8)0 -
Re:Surfing or revising?
Too cool for words!
I'm about to head out to a meeting with HMRC.
I hope they've done their homework - 'cos I'm going to grill them and serve them up chopped :!:

Re:Surfing or revising?
That is really cool! Can I come to your work for the day, please???
I take your advice, though about revising. Some of my best exam results have been following ...er... late revision. I did my degree in History and Archaeology, which of course is a lot of essays and discussion and such. It is a while since I have done an exam that has either a right or wrong answer to it.
I am determined not to panic - that is never a good option. At leaset I know where my weaknesses are now - which are Preparing Ledger Balances
. No seriously, I now know exactly where I need to put in the extra work. 0 -
Re:Surfing or revising?
You are very welcome to come here for the day!!
Well done on your degrees! You can get a wrong answer (or figure) in an AAT exam but if your method is right and you show your workings, you will gain marks. I am a late revisor and can't panic as it is how I choose to do it. I have taken 3 exams like that now and passed them all. Knowing where to put the extra work in helps as well, I have got the variances now so I am looking at the written parts in more depth.
Best of luck with your exam.

Re:Surfing or revising?
Thanks! I'll just sneak out the door!
You are right, of course, and that is something I remember from my GCSE maths - you get points for showing the process you used. Good point.
Best of luck to you, too.
