A few weeks ago I went to see a business advisor at Business Link for 2 reasons, a) to discuss where my business is going, and b) to see what help is avaliable for my clients.
The man I saw was very helpful and said that I could leave some cards with him to hand out to anyone he saw who might be looking for a bookkeeper/accountant. I'm not really after any new work now so I turned down his offer (and therefore don't know how successful it might have been!), but it might be an idea for anyone looking for new clients to consider.

    It might work, although I have never had any referals from things like this. All my work has come either from Yellow pages or client referal.

    You will never loose anything by trying the cards.
