CASUAL LABOUR FOR CIS CLIENTS

Hi
I wonder if anyone can help me? I have a potential client who works in the building/decorating industry. He has used a couple of casual staff over a few months who were not CIS registered, he has therefore not paid any tax for them. I am not quite sure how to show the wages payment in his books to ensure that he does not pay tax against it? Normally I would put it as casual staff/labour but as the construction industry need a CIS card I am not sure if I could still state it under that category?
Thanks
Lynn

No point trying to hide it.
Not all subcontractors fall within the CIS scheme so there will always be certain trades with casual labour that either won't have made any deductions or will only have made deductions on certain types of work.
I would probably put it in cost of sales anyway. Less likely to raise any eyebrows there.0 -

I would also be asking your client one or ten questions about this "casual labour" just to cover yourself.
