HELP PLS ON MARGIN EBIT %

I am on my own today (without my Accountant) and have been asked to complete a form which asks

'Margin EBIT (% of Turnover)' for the last three years.

What does the EBIT mean, does anyone know.

All help appreciated.

    Earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) is very closely related to operating profit and often the same.
    It may include some non-operating profits or losses that are excluded from operating profit.
