im currently revising for PEV, the final exam i have left to take on the AAT tech level.

Due to my local college no longer offering a day option, i took the decision to teach myself. i did attend last years lectures but found that my tutor confused me alot so i chose to defer that subject until now!

My question to all you people in the know is: can anyone give me any pointers on what is likely to appear in the exams? i know that my tutors have always had useful tips in the past and im hoping that your might too.

    In Section 1, there is normally 2 questions (sometimes 3). The first question is always regarding variances. The second question is more open though: splitting a variance is quite common, but be prepared for questions on trend analysis and maybe even a memo.

    In section 2 there is normally 2 questions. The first is always about calculating financial indicators. The second question is often (but not always) in the form of a memo. Sometimes this may be asking you to prepare new indicators based on a change in the data, or even about non-financial indicators.

    I am sorry, the list of possibilities is endless, but variances and financial indicators are a given

    cheers for your help, i will now continue with a v last minute night of study and power naps. not ideal but at least its only one exam this time and not the 3 i had in the summer.
