Does anybody know for sure that we'll get a similar paper of previous ones. For example starting with preparing producion budgets etc for one or two products and the second section asking you to prepare a revised operating statement using marginal costing?

I'm sure the guru of AAT (Sandy Hood) will clear this up for me! :D

    I would have thought it is quite limited to change, as far as the general layout is concerned. I mean it runs through logically. They can obviously throw in written questions on anything though.

    But even with written questions they're going to include the two areas I mentioned. As long as I get them near enough spot on and waffle wear I can I should be fine? Right? Please say yes :D

    I have revised for written questions;

    Difference between marginal / absorption
    What each means and shows
    Flexi Budget theory
    Capital Budgets and how they differ from Operating and budgets
    Strengths and weaknesses of reporting data, in case they give you a case study
    The use of linear regression as a forecasting tool
    The contraints of budgeting
    And the positive and negative effects of budgeting processes, on the employees of that particular company

    Well, you might have to work out the budget for several periods for 1 product (I find this easier to do than splitting everything between 2!)

    This has varied from year to year. I'd say it is a 50/50 chance on whether the flexed budget will be based on marginal or absorption costing.

    Hope that helps!

    My bets would be:-
    Production budget in section one
    Marginal costing flexible budget statement in section two
