Unit 5 Exam T.B.

I couldn't get the Section 1 TB to balance. I had £333969 (I think) on the CR side but £380719 on the DR. This gave me a difference of £46750 which is the figure that I had entered for the payroll expenses. After much checking and re-checking all I could think to do was enter the figure in a suspense account. Am I the only one that ended up with this? Any ideas where I went wrong?

    I'm not suggesting you're wrong, but I think I got £333,939 for my total on the TB, and it agreed. I don't know what other people got though.
    Hope whichever one of us is wrong gets method marks!! :)

    Was cash sales £46750 i rekon you put it on both sides or something don't lose sleep over it I doubt it will be the difference between passing and failign especially as you put in a supsense that shows you know its meant to balance.

    one of my classmates did this, shes convinced shes failed though :( as someone else said shes now not likely to pass

    Hi,
    For the trial balance i think I got £393939 !!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Everybody i speak to say different things especially in section 2. Just don't want to think about it now

    I got £333,939 as well. I was really worried that I had done the workings for the creditors and sales figures incorrectly but it all balanced and you have the same figure so I feel a bit better.

    Don't panic about failing because you never know. I thought I'd done alright but then I read another thread on here and now I'm worried about my answers for section 2.
    But what is done is done so try not to worry. Easier said than done I know...February seems a long way away!

    i got 333939 too so should be correct, unless we all have it wrong!
