Hi

Can anyone who is doing home study with BPP or any other course provider has had to pay deferral charges when changing exam sitting dates?

Also, if you fail an exam do you have to pay this 'deferral charge' again?

I have spoken to BPP this morning who are refusing to let me take my mock exams and mark them until I pay £20 deferral fee, as I orginally told them I'd be sitting the centrals in December 03, now to be June 04.

I haven't used the tutorial support yet (they won't let me now til I pay the fee anyway!), so shouldn't the marking of the exam be included in this, regardless of when I sit it. Apparently the £20 fee is for administration charges (changing the date on the computer!) and updated revision notes (same exam how can the notes change!) and 'extra marking fee'.

Any comments appreciated

Thanks
Zoe

    Deferral Charges Home Study

    Hi

I was lucky that I didn't have to pay the deferal fee with Premier Training. I put the wrong centre on my exam form and the centre had to change it for me. They should of charged the £20, but because I wasn't the only person who did this wrong they AAT let the centre off with the charge.

I think it is the AAT who charge the centers for any changes, and not just them making these charges up.

The best thing to do is pay the £20 so you can continue with your exams.

Claire

    Hi

No the defferal charge made by BPP is totally a BPP charge and not an AAT charge as with BPP home study you are responsible for sorting out your own exam arrangements. BPP need make no change to anything to the AAT need to be aware off its just BBP's charge :oS

Neil
