Marking of Papers ?

Does anyone know the marking system? Maybe the Tutors can help on this one.

EXAMPLE: If Section 2 consists of five parts, if you score very low (not competent) in 2.2 but overall score around 75% is it possible to pass? I have worked out that each section may be scored out of 50 marks but I could be wrong!

I know you have to be competent in both sections but I'm not worried about Section 1.

I think you are going into too much detail

The various sections are marked with numerical marking schemes, but exactly how much of the marks is given to particular tasks is not something that AAT will disclose.
As the diploma pathway grows in popularity this might change as this is not NVQ based so does not require competency in every aspect of the standards

I recommend a broad brush approach where regularly examined areas are generally seen as more important and then awarded more marks. Thus less important topics that you get wrong can not stop you passing.

My advice is to put thoughts of exams to the back of your mind. Worrying now will have no effect on your result, and there are far more interesting things to do at this time of year.
