Old Standard Units - changing to new standards

I previously studied for technician and passed units under old standards but never finished. I started up again and have been told that a couple of my old units can be 'topped up' to new standards rather than start from scratch again.
I'm waiting for information but guessing its some questions or something and remarking of the projects.
Has anyone out there done this, what did you do, did you need to buy all the course books etc again and how long did it take?
thanks

Re:Old Standard Units - changing to new standards
Hi Dmcc
I did Intermediate under old standards in 2003 and Technician under new in 2004. I had to do a top up for the Health & Safety Module, which was just a matter of answering a few questions. Didn't need to buy any books as looked up the info on the net. I presume you didn't complete your Project (stumbling block for most
) so I would think it would depend on how much you completed and quite possibly how recent.
Don't know if that's of any use - but at least you've got a reply :!:
